About The Position

The School of Graduate Studies in the College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with a strong preference for candidates with a background and expertise in big data analytics, aviation safety, and machine learning/AI. The Graduate School offers an MS in Aviation with specializations in Aviation Safety, Uncrewed Systems, and Space Operations. It also offers an MS in Occupational Safety Management, an MS in Uncrewed Systems, and an MS in Space Operations in a traditional on-campus format, as well as an online Ph.D. in Aviation with specializations in Aviation Safety, Aviation Human Factors, Aviation Operations, and Intradisciplinary. This faculty position will be located on the Daytona Beach campus. Requirements

• A doctorate and relevant experience in aviation safety, big data analytics, or ML/AI
• Current CV

Responsibilities

• Teach courses at both the doctoral and master's levels
• Chair Ph.D. dissertation and/or master’s thesis committees
• Meet ongoing scholarly growth requirements, which include publishing scholarly work
• Actively pursue and obtain externally funded research
• Present work at professional conferences
• Fulfill service responsibilities to the university and the profession
• Provide instruction in both traditional classroom formats and online formats as appropriate
