About The Position

The Faculty of Management at the University of British Columbia (Okanagan Campus) invites applications for two (2) full-time tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level. The anticipated start date for the positions is July 1, 2027, or a mutually agreed upon date. We are inviting applications from candidates with expertise in Management. Both positions are subject to budgetary approval. Duties include: developing and maintaining an active, high-impact research program aimed at making a significant contribution to the profession with publications in leading management and strategy journals; teaching in our undergraduate and graduate programs, supervising Ph.D. students in the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program; as well as contributing to other teaching and administrative initiatives of the Faculty of Management. Teaching and service requirements are similar to other research-intensive universities. Candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses.

Requirements

  • Near completion or completion of a PhD from an AACSB-accredited business school in general or strategic management.
  • A strong research record with publications or clear potential for publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals in general or strategic management or a closely related business discipline
  • Must show research potential to establish a successful research program
  • Must demonstrate expertise in empirical research methods relevant to the general or strategic management discipline
  • Demonstrated teaching excellence in general or strategic management
  • Demonstrated communication skills, and ability to convey ideas clearly
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and a track record of contributing positively to a work environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional, undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral education
  • A commitment to the principles of Equity Diversity, and Inclusion
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse and international students
