The Office of Research at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) supports life-saving biomedical research through nine specialized units. The Biomedical Resource Center (BRC), a centralized animal facility, provides laboratory animal housing, care, research support, and space. The BRC is accredited by the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care and serves over 170 principal investigators from MCW, Versiti Blood Research Institute, and the Zablocki VA Medical Center. MCW is seeking a Staff Veterinarian to join the BRC team, with an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor. The Staff Veterinarian, working under the Director and Assistant Provost of the BRC, will contribute to veterinary medical care, animal husbandry, and facility maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards. This role involves managing veterinary technical personnel, consulting with faculty on animal research, reviewing Animal Use Applications, and potentially serving on institutional committees.
