About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work is seeking a full-time, 12-month appointment-stream faculty member for its Office of Practicum Education. This role serves both the BASW and MSW programs. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about current trends in practicum education, experienced in providing supportive and effective practicum experiences, and committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and student-centered environment. The position focuses on supporting practicum education across various social work practice areas, with a special emphasis on the Community, Organization, and Social Action (COSA) specialization. The University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work is a highly-ranked institution known for its strong academic programs, innovative faculty, community engagement, and leadership in areas such as race, child welfare, and mental health. Requirements

  • MSW degree
  • At least 5 years of post-MSW practice experience
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in social work practicum education
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in social work practice
  • Facility with academic software and technology that promote excellence, efficiency, transparency, and accountability
