About The Position

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking an Assistant Professor - Practice-2 to join the Department of Dentistry | Endodontics. This role involves supervising dental students, evaluating and triaging emergency dental patients, and making treatment plans. The successful candidate will also supervise and assist dental students in providing endodontic treatment in the clinic. The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to collegiality and collaboration, and a willingness to serve as a role model for professionalism and ethical standards in a health science educational setting.

Requirements

• DDS/DMD or equivalent degree
• Completion of a CODA-accredited advanced education program in endodontics
• Three years of practice experience
• Eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board
• Board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Endodontics

Nice To Haves

• Experience in dental education
• An MS, PhD, EdD, or other advanced degree

Responsibilities

• Supervising dental students evaluating and triaging emergency dental patients and making treatment plans for these patients.
• Supervising/helping dental students providing endodontic treatment to patients in the endodontic clinic.
