About The Position
The APSU Department of History and Philosophy seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Philosophy and Religion Program, beginning July 30, 2027. Candidates must have a PhD in History, Philosophy, or related discipline and be prepared to teach courses in the History of Philosophy, especially Ancient through Modern, Epistemology, Philosophy of Religion, and World Religions. The position will be responsible for advising students in both Philosophical Studies and Religious Studies concentrations. We are searching for an experienced teacher with demonstrated ability to engage students.
Requirements
- PhD in History, Philosophy, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students.
Nice To Haves
- A record of publication is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teaching courses in the History of Philosophy, especially Ancient through Modern, Epistemology, Philosophy of Religion, and World Religions.
- Advising students in both Philosophical Studies and Religious Studies concentrations.
