About The Position

The College of Law at the University of Wyoming is seeking to fill an open-rank faculty position to direct the Defender Aid Clinic. This role involves teaching law-related courses, directing the clinic throughout the academic year, and managing clinic operations during the summer. Tenure-track candidates will also be expected to maintain active scholarly research, while all candidates will engage in professional development, advise and mentor students, and provide service to the college and university.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Demonstrated ability and appropriate experience in the field of law (for Tenure-Track Assistant Professor)
  • Distinguished professional career making a significant positive impact in the field of law (for Professor of Practice)
  • License to practice law in a US state bar association
  • Be willing to become licensed in the state of Wyoming
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to direct the Defender Aid Clinic and teach in other areas of the law curriculum
  • Ability to teach at the College of Law and University level
  • Demonstrated commitment to producing university-level scholarship (for tenure-track consideration)
