The School of Engineering at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus invites applications to fill one (1) full-time tenure-stream position within its Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Programs. Applicants with expertise in educational leadership will be considered for the ranks of Assistant Professor of Teaching (tenure-track) or Associate Professor of Teaching (tenure-track or tenured). We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, particularly those with educational leadership and/or teaching expertise in areas including (but not limited to) engineering design; experiential, project-based, and laboratory-based learning; aerospace engineering; industrial systems; clean energy and sustainability; and inclusive engineering education. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2027 or a date to be mutually agreed upon. Decisions for hiring will be based upon applicants' potential and/or evidence towards excellence in teaching and educational leadership, to the benefit of Canada and the global community, as well as their fit to the School. We look to shape leaders for the future of our programs and profession. The stated positions offer a unique opportunity to contribute to the development, growth, and leadership of programs in the School of Engineering. The program integrates foundational and applied courses in engineering, with hands-on learning and immersive experiences for students.
