About The Position

The University of Southern Indiana seeks applications for a full-time, 12-month Assistant Professor of Respiratory Therapy and Director of Clinical Education (DCE). The position is tenure track and will begin May 11 or when filled.

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential
• Current Indiana state license
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• At least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching, either as an appointed faculty member in a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program or as a clinical instructor/preceptor for students of such programs

Responsibilities

• Curriculum/course education development
• Teaching courses in the entry-level and degree advancement BSRT programs
• Working with our clinical setting partners
• Engaging in scholarship activities (e.g., peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations) related to the discipline
• Engaging in service activities at the university, professional and community levels
• Participation at the national and state level in professional organizations and activities
• Contribution to community well-being through service related to professional and other expertise
• Supporting the mission of the program and Kinney College of Nursing and Health Professions
