About The Position

Stetson University’s School of Business Administration is seeking an Assistant Professor of Practice in AI and Analytics for the Department of Business Systems and Analytics. This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track position starting in August 2027 in DeLand, Florida. The role involves developing distinctive courses and programs that utilize interdisciplinary collaborations and experiential learning in business statistics, information systems, artificial intelligence, and analytics.

Requirements

  • An MBA or master’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Statistics, Management Information Systems) from an AACSB-accredited institution by August 2027.
  • Current and ongoing professional work experience and industry engagement in AI, analytics, and emerging technologies.
  • Willingness to be a fully engaged participant in the program's development, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated collegiality.
  • Ability to work with multiple constituencies of diverse backgrounds.

  • Applicants interested in developing distinctive courses and programs that leverage interdisciplinary collaborations and experiential learning within the School and across the institution in the areas of business statistics, information systems, artificial intelligence, and analytics are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in business statistics, information systems, AI, and analytics, emphasizing applied and engaged learning through hands-on projects, emerging technologies, tools, and platforms.
  • Teach four courses per semester, totaling eight courses per academic year, with a potential to use one course for an approved student-centered immersive experience.
  • Offer courses to meet General Education requirements, including theme-based courses (e.g., First-Year or Junior Seminars) or international courses.
  • Provide undergraduate advising.
  • Assist with student recruitment.
  • Engage in service to the university, college, and/or department.
  • Maintain professional engagement.
  • Build partnerships with Florida-based and national practitioners and potential employers.
  • Demonstrate a passion for high-quality teaching and maintain academic qualifications consistent with AACSB and School of Business Administration standards.
