Assistant Professor of Philosophy
About The Position
The primary duty will be to teach six courses (24 credits) per academic year in Philosophy, some of which will be in Philosophy of Healthcare. This role requires a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, research and professional development. This role will support our Health Humanities minor, and our collaboration with the CHHS pre-professional programs through teaching and curriculum development. This role is also expected to perform service to the department, school and the profession, and to teach our general education courses. Finally, this role will support the department's public outreach.
Requirements
- PhD in Philosophy or adjacent fields
- Expertise in Philosophy of Healthcare
- ABD considered
- AOS: open, with preference for expertise in Philosophy of Healthcare
