The University of North Texas (UNT) College of Music is America’s largest public-university music program and one of its most respected. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba. Teaching: Recruit, retain, and teach an outstanding enrollment of undergraduate and graduate percussion students. Supervise graduate-degree requirements, including graduate committees and doctoral projects/documents. Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to coaching percussion ensembles, percussion techniques, percussion pedagogy and literature classes. Research/creative activities: Establish/maintain a national/international profile as a performing artist (soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, etc.). Service: Participate fully in academic and professional activities, including service assignments, across the campus and the profession.
