Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Term) Division of Endocrinology
About The Position
The University of Louisville School of Medicine, affiliated with Norton Children’s Endocrinology, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible physician for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in pediatric endocrinology. The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team providing comprehensive endocrinology and diabetes services, including outpatient, telehealth, and hospital care. The team includes pediatric and internal medicine-pediatric endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, diabetes educators, psychologists, sports physiologists, social workers, and child life specialists. The division also participates in medical student, resident, and pediatric endocrinology fellow training, as well as translational and clinical research supported by pediatric endocrinology research staff and the Norton Children’s Research Institute. The faculty member will provide patient care, teach, and support clinical research. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible physician.
- Competence in patient care.
- Interest in supporting clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical endocrinology and diabetes care to outpatient, telehealth, and hospital patients and families.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team at a university center to support the division’s teaching and research mission.
- Serve as a University of Louisville School of Medicine faculty member, contributing to patient care, teaching, and clinical research.
