Tenure-Track: Assistant Professor of Modern Middle East
About The Position
The Department of History in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking a full-time, 9-month appointment, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Modern Middle East history, broadly defined. The anticipated start date is fall 2027. The department seeks a scholar whose research complements and enhances existing departmental strengths and broadens intellectual and methodological diversity. Candidates should demonstrate a record of, or clear potential for, significant scholarly contributions. The successful candidate will maintain an ambitious, productive research agenda, teach two courses per semester, recruit and train outstanding students, and participate in university and professional affairs.
