Requirements

A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field (degree must be conferred by the start date of the position).
University or college teaching experience (e.g., instructor of record, teaching assistant, or similar role) in mathematics.
Evidence of ongoing or potential scholarly research in applied mathematics or a closely related area.
Demonstrated potential to teach upper-division undergraduate and graduate-level applied mathematics courses.

Nice To Haves

Research expertise in applied mathematics, with particular interest in nonlinear optimization, the mathematics of machine learning, or stochastic modeling.
Evidence of excellence in teaching.
Potential for directing Master’s thesis students or mentoring undergraduate research.

Responsibilities

Teach mathematics and/or statistics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
