Requirements

- University or college teaching experience (e.g., instructor of record, teaching assistant, or similar role) in mathematics.
- Evidence of ongoing or potential scholarly research in applied mathematics or a closely related area.
- Demonstrated potential to teach upper-division undergraduate and graduate-level applied mathematics courses.

- Research expertise in applied mathematics, with particular interest in nonlinear optimization, the mathematics of machine learning, or stochastic modeling.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching.
- Potential for directing Master’s thesis students or mentoring undergraduate research.

- Evidence of commitment to mentoring first generation college students in the mathematical community.
Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics and/or statistics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Engage in scholarly research or grant activity.

- Mentor graduate student master’s thesis projects.
