About The Position

Xavier University invites applications for a renewable/permanent non-tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Biology to begin in Fall 2027. The individual must hold at least a M.S. degree in an area of the biological sciences, with experience relevant to human physiology strongly preferred. This is not a remote position. Requirements

• At least a M.S. degree in an area of the biological sciences
• Experience relevant to human physiology strongly preferred

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience teaching college student labs, especially human physiology

Responsibilities

• Teaching majors’ lectures and labs (e.g., Human Physiology)
• Teaching non-science majors’ and allied health majors’ lectures and labs (e.g., Human Biology, Anatomy and Physiology)
• Service to the department including preparation of one multi-section lab per term. Preparation of multi-section labs entails the planning and maintenance of course content, coordination with other faculty teaching the corequisite lecture and other sections of the lab, and working with the department lab manager to ensure that materials are ordered and set up correctly.
