About The Position
The Management, HR, and Information Systems Area of the Orfalea College of Business at Cal Poly seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure track, academic year position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the primary area of Information Systems (IS), with appointment beginning approximately August 12, 2027. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience of individual selected. Appointment at the Assistant Professor rank is anticipated; the anticipated hiring range is $135,000 to $150,000 per year. The Management, HR, and Information Systems Area in the Orfalea College of Business encompasses a variety of forward-thinking, career-focused academic disciplines. Our faculty conduct widely recognized research and teach innovative courses in fields such as Information Systems, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Organizational Behavior, and Business Strategy.
Requirements
- Completed or close to completion of a doctorate or equivalent degree in Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution (PhD/DBA awarded by time of appointment in Fall 2027)
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching
- Ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language
