About The Position

The Division of Pediatric Radiology in the Department of Radiology at the Leonard Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami (UM), is seeking fellowship-trained, CAQ certified or eligible candidates for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Clinical Educator track. Requirements

Medical Degree
Diagnostic Radiology Residency
Pediatric Radiology Fellowship
American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible
Florida Medical License or Eligible
CAQ in Pediatric Radiology or CAQ Eligible
Completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Interpret general radiology, neuro, abdominal, MSK and chest Imaging (CTs, MRIs, Ultrasound, X-rays, fluoroscopy).
Take evening and weekend calls at UHealth and JHS locations as required.
Supervise performance of technical personnel.
Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of diagnostic radiology.
Provide diagnostic imaging consultations as requested.
Provide pediatric patient care related to imaging as required in the setting of a radiology practice.
Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of diagnostic imaging.
Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.
Accept assignments as determined by the department Chair.
Participate in didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Attend and actively participate in seminars and other educational lectures.
Participate in the supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows who are involved in direct patient care.
Actively participate in meetings, Grand Rounds, and other University scholarly activities.
