About The Position

The Division of Pediatric Radiology in the Department of Radiology at the Leonard Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami (UM), is seeking fellowship-trained, CAQ certified or eligible candidates for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Clinical Educator track. Requirements

  • Medical Degree
  • Diagnostic Radiology Residency
  • Pediatric Radiology Fellowship
  • American Board of Radiology Certified or Board Eligible
  • Florida Medical License or Eligible
  • CAQ in Pediatric Radiology or CAQ Eligible
  • Completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret general radiology, neuro, abdominal, MSK and chest Imaging (CTs, MRIs, Ultrasound, X-rays, fluoroscopy).
  • Take evening and weekend calls at UHealth and JHS locations as required.
  • Supervise performance of technical personnel.
  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of diagnostic radiology.
  • Provide diagnostic imaging consultations as requested.
  • Provide pediatric patient care related to imaging as required in the setting of a radiology practice.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of diagnostic imaging.
  • Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.
  • Accept assignments as determined by the department Chair.
  • Participate in didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Attend and actively participate in seminars and other educational lectures.
  • Participate in the supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows who are involved in direct patient care.
  • Actively participate in meetings, Grand Rounds, and other University scholarly activities.
