Assistant Professor of Chemistry
About The Position
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Washington invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of September 2027. The position is a nine-month academic appointment for a three-year renewable term. The successful candidate will lead a world-class research program, teach innovative and inclusive chemistry programs, and engage in service benefiting the University and community. The appointee will join a diverse and inclusive academic community and work amid expanded research and teaching facilities in a new state-of-the-art chemistry building under construction, which will further strengthen opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. The base salary range is $12,000–$14,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in chemistry or a related field by the date of appointment.
