About The Position
Replacement faculty position in Biology to fill instructional needs. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position in the STM department. This position will be supporting the Master of Science in Natural Sciences and undergraduate programs including those in Biology, Agriculture, Nursing, Education, and the various pre professional programs on campus.
Requirements
- PhD. in Biology, Plant Biology or a related area is required – ABDs considered.
Nice To Haves
- The ability to teach plant physiology and plant taxonomy is preferred.
- Post-doctoral experience is a plus.
- Prior teaching experience is strongly desired.
- Experience with undergraduate biology-related clubs or organizations.
Responsibilities
- Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track appointment teaching a full-time load.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in plant biology, general biology, biology for majors, and an active externally funded research program involving undergraduate students.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Serve on departmental and institutional committees.
- Curriculum development.
- Participating in program assessment, review.
- Maintaining office hours.
