About The Position
This full-time, in-person position includes the responsibilities of teaching all levels of Arabic (3-3), scholarship, professional citizenship activities, and mentoring students. We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative teacher-scholar, who embraces the integrated approach of Arabic pedagogy, to join our departmental focus of developing linguistically proficient and culturally competent learners.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Arabic, Arabic Studies, or a related field (must be in hand by the start of the appointment)
- Native or near-native fluency in Arabic (MSA + a dialect) and English
Nice To Haves
- Specialization in Arabic pedagogy, Arabic linguistics, and Arabic literature
- Willingness to participate in summer study abroad programs with students
