Requirements

MD or PhD degree and have a demonstrable record of accomplishments, peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding in related research.
Experience in microbiome science.

Responsibilities

Study how the microbiome can impact cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses and treatment outcomes in these illnesses.
Generate hypotheses based on patient biospecimens and preclinical models.
Increase our understanding of how microbes can shape health and disease via effects on host cells and tissues.
Identify and evaluate strategies to introduce, target or modulate microbes to potentially prevent or benefit these illnesses, improve response rates, or reduce toxicities.
