About The Position

The Ohio State University, Department of Horticulture and Crop Science, College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, is seeking an Assistant Professor. This tenure-track position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in horticulture, crop science, and vegetable production. The role also includes conducting research focused on horticultural food production systems, particularly in urban and urbanizing environments and communities. Requirements

• Ph.D. in Agronomy and Horticulture, Crop Science, Plant Science, Soil Science, Sustainable Agriculture, Agroecology, or related field.
• Demonstrated potential in applied research, evidenced by publications, presentations, or dissertation in agriculture, crop science, soil science, or related subjects.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in horticulture, crop science, vegetable production, and related topics.
• Conduct research concerning horticultural food production systems with a focus on urban and urbanizing environments and communities.
• Support university extension efforts through collaboration with community stakeholders.
• Provide service to the university, college, and profession.
