About The Position

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) is seeking a qualified faculty member for its Master of Science in Anesthesiologist Assistant (MSAA) program. This is a year-round (12-month) non-tenure track position at the Clinical Assistant rank. The MSAA program is pending ARC-AA accreditation, with an anticipated start date of January 2027. UMHB seeks faculty who are active Christians and dedicated teacher-scholars to prepare students for leadership, service, and faith-informed discernment. The role involves the ongoing development and delivery of didactic, simulation, and/or clinical coursework, working closely with the Program Director to ensure compliance with ARC-AA standards for accreditation. The Mayborn College of Health Sciences (MCHS) houses the MSAA program within its School of Health Professions, alongside other health science programs. UMHB is located in Belton, Texas, with access to nearby cities and a high quality of life.

Requirements

  • Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and be an active participant in their local church.
  • Graduate degree in anesthesia or commensurate degree is required.
  • Must be a certified Anesthesiologist Assistant.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of six (6) months of clinical employment experience preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of teaching and/or experience as a clinical educator or preceptor preferred.
