About The Position

This position is for an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Science. The role involves developing and maintaining courses for all three Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs, including both online and face-to-face formats. Responsibilities also include participating in service activities such as committees within the School of Health Professions (SHP), the university, and professional organizations, as well as engaging in community service. Student advising is also a key component of this role.

Requirements

  • Academic doctorate (i.e. PhD, EdD, DSc, etc.) in physical therapy or related field
  • Licensed PT in the U. S.
  • Eligible to be licensed in Texas

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a clinical specialist with expertise in integumentary rehabilitation and/or orthotics and prosthetics (O&P)
  • Two or more years of teaching experience in DPT programs or related fields
  • Established expertise in teaching and learning in online environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain courses, including online as well as face-to-face courses as assigned in all three DPT programs
