About The Position

The Information, Technology, and Operations (ITO) Area at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in Fall 2027. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or expect to complete one by the appointment date in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field. Candidates should demonstrate a strong record of research published in, or the potential to publish in, leading academic journals. We particularly welcome candidates whose research and teaching expertise align with the Gabelli School's strategic initiatives in artificial intelligence. The ability to teach technical AI-related courses is highly desirable. The successful candidate will develop and sustain a high-impact research program, publish in leading academic journals, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in departmental, School, and University service. The candidate is also expected to engage in interdisciplinary research and foster collaborations with academic, industry, and community partners. The Information Technology and Operations (ITO) Area at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business is a collaborative community of scholars advancing research and education in artificial intelligence, information systems, business analytics, and operations management. Located at the Lincoln Center and Rose Hill campuses in New York City, the area offers undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral programs, as well as three specialized master's programs: the M.S. in Business Analytics (MSBA), M.S. in Information Technology (MSIT), and M.S. in AI in Business (MSAIB). Faculty maintain active research programs across AI, analytics, digital transformation, and related fields, fostering a supportive environment for impactful scholarship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovation. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or expect to complete one by the appointment date in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field. Reference will be given to candidates with strong potential to publish in leading Information Systems and related academic journals. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to teach and develop technically rigorous courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, and other emerging technologies.
