About The Position

The Department of Statistics at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, is seeking two tenure-track assistant professors with expertise in statistics and data science, beginning August 16, 2027. One of these positions will have a specific focus on sports analytics. The successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain a high-quality research program, secure external funding, and collaborate with researchers at Iowa State. They will also be involved in professional and institutional service, teach graduate and undergraduate students, and advise graduate students within one of the nation's leading statistics graduate programs.

Requirements

PhD or equivalent degree in statistics or closely related discipline by appointment start date.
