The position is in person. Areas of emphasis include Business Analytics, Statistics, Operations & Supply Chain Analytics, and AI Analytics. Tenure-track faculty are teaching scholars expected to balance teaching, research, and service. Faculty teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in their areas of expertise as assigned by the department chair. The university operates on a quarter system, and tenure-stream faculty typically teach six courses per year (two per quarter), assuming active engagement in research or creative work. Teaching is evaluated according to departmental standards and the principles of Ignatian pedagogy, which emphasize respectful, inclusive, engaging, and evidence-based instruction. The university provides teaching-development support through workshops, grants, and mentoring. Faculty are expected to maintain an active scholarly research program leading to publications in respected journals and to provide effective service to the department, school, university, profession, and/or community. The university supports early-career faculty through mentoring and professional-development resources. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or be ABD in Operations Analytics, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Business Analytics, or a closely related area by September 1 of the appointment year. Candidates should demonstrate potential for high-quality peer-reviewed research and effective, inclusive teaching and mentoring of a diverse student population, as well as a commitment to the university’s mission and to fostering inclusion and academic excellence. Applications are submitted through the university’s online application system. Required materials include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, examples of research or scholarly work, evidence of teaching effectiveness (quantitative and qualitative, if available), and contact information for at least three professional references. Three recommendation letters are to be submitted by referees later, once candidates are shortlisted. For full consideration, applications should be received by November 5; review begins immediately and continues until qualified candidates are identified. Applications are accepted until the position is filled. Santa Clara University is a comprehensive Jesuit Catholic university in California’s Silicon Valley.
