The Department of Chemistry at San José State University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Chemistry, beginning August 2027. The position requires excellence in both research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Analytical and/or Physical Chemistry, with flexibility in teaching across multiple chemistry sub-disciplines being desirable. The ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning environments is essential. A key responsibility will be to develop a robust research program that actively engages undergraduate and graduate (M.S.) students. The department also houses a specialized Nuclear Science Facility for nuclear and radiochemistry research.
