About The Position

The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver Campus, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-stream faculty position in the Department of Oral Health Sciences. This position is at the rank of Assistant Professor, with potential for a higher rank based on qualifications. The role involves teaching in pre- and post-doctoral dentistry programs, with a focus on developing a Fellowship in Dental Geriatrics. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with the DMD and Graduate Programs, possess strong interpersonal skills, and foster trust through an open, respectful, and collegial approach. The position emphasizes the potential for teaching, academic, and research excellence, with a focus on improving the oral health of older adults and attracting external research funding. The appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an expected starting salary of $170,000 per annum.
