Alaska Christian College is seeking a Faculty member to serve as an Assistant Professor and Chair of the General Studies program. This on-site, part-time (0.8 FTE) exempt position reports to the Provost and is responsible for providing education, instruction, and mentoring to students. The role involves growing and promoting the General Studies program, overseeing adjunct faculty, developing and revising course materials, and ensuring instruction aligns with a biblical worldview and ACC procedures. The position also includes evaluating students, adhering to faculty policies, maintaining assessments, facilitating discussions, providing accommodations and advisement, maintaining a safe workspace, engaging in research, participating in professional development, and contributing to student and community growth. A Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) manual for the position is to be developed, along with other assigned duties. The role also involves supervisory responsibilities for adjunct faculty and teaching assistants, and an expectation of high-level customer service and fostering meaningful relationships for mutual growth in discipleship.
