About The Position

The Department of Economics at DePaul University invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the Assistant Professor level with an expected start date of July 1, 2027. We are looking for empirically oriented candidates in three distinct areas: macroeconomics, urban economics, and business economics. Business economics is broadly defined as the application of economics to business decision-making and may include fields such as behavioral economics. The ideal candidate for the business economics position will actively contribute to our MBA program. Within macroeconomics, we are particularly interested in candidates specializing in international macroeconomics, macro-finance, or macroeconomic history. We are open to a broad range of areas within urban economics. DePaul’s Driehaus College of Business, located in downtown Chicago, offers transformative, hands-on educational experiences. With over 5,400 students, Driehaus programs are highly ranked and nationally recognized. Founded in 1912, it was among the first 10 business colleges in the United States and the first at an American Catholic university. The Driehaus mission is to empower students to become socially responsible leaders who make an impact in their communities, guided by Catholic and Vincentian values and deep roots in Chicago.
