About The Position

Emory University is seeking an Assistant Professor for the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipids within the Department of Medicine. This division is a leading center for clinical care, research, and education in endocrinology, with faculty providing specialized treatment for a wide range of hormonal and glandular diseases. The division comprises over 45 academic faculty and 50 non-faculty staff, serving a large patient population across Emory Healthcare, Grady Health System, and the Atlanta VA Health System. The division is committed to its academic missions, including a fellowship program training future physicians and researchers, and a robust research program focused on diabetes, lipids, nutrition, microbiome, and bone biology. The research portfolio exceeds $6 million. This position is generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location, with potential for remote work at department discretion.

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Endocrinology care.
  • Provide specialized treatment for the full range of diseases of the glands and hormones of the body.
  • Conduct research in areas such as diabetes, lipids, nutrition, microbiome, and bone biology and osteoporosis.
  • Participate in the education of fellows and other trainees.
  • Contribute to the academic missions of the Division.
