About The Position
Mount St. Joseph University’s Criminology and Criminal Justice program invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning in August 2027. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of undergraduate criminology and criminal justice courses in person and online. The role includes teaching, advising and mentoring students, maintaining an active program of scholarly activity, and participating in service to the program and University. The University seeks a colleague committed to undergraduate teaching, student learning, and its mission.
Requirements
- Earned Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field by August 2027.
- Demonstrated commitment to effective undergraduate teaching and student learning.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States without University sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses in criminology or criminal justice.
- Experience teaching in both traditional classroom and online environments.
- Ability to teach a broad range of courses within the program.
