About The Position
The purpose of this position is to provide faculty support to meet the teaching, and patient care needs of the Department of Ophthalmology and assist in fulfilling UTMB's mission. This position will provide optical care. He/she will participate in all teaching activities of the Department including conferences and lectures, house staff supervision in the clinics, continuing education, and local, regional and national meetings.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited medical school.
- Completed an ACGME approved residency training program in general optometry.
- Certified/Board Eligible in Optometry.
- Texas Optometry license without restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Provide faculty support to meet the teaching and patient care needs of the Department of Ophthalmology.
- Provide optical care.
- Participate in all teaching activities of the Department including conferences and lectures.
- Supervise house staff in the clinics.
- Participate in continuing education, and local, regional and national meetings.
