The Department of Biology/College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks candidates for a full-time temporary Assistant Professor (Teaching Faculty) position in Biology. This position is a one-year, 9-month faculty position with potential for renewal for one additional year based on performance. The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to work with a highly interactive team to teach introductory biology courses for majors and additional core courses (e.g., Genetics, microbiology, physiology, etc.). UAB is a Carnegie Level 1 research university and academic health center named the Top Young University in the U.S. (Times Higher Education World University Rankings) and America’s #1 ranked Large Employer and #4 ranked employer for Diversity (Forbes, 2021).
