About The Position
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is searching for a full-time, temporary, non-tenure track visiting Instructor of English, beginning August 2026. This is a one-year temporary position with health benefits and renewable for a second year. The teaching load is 24 credit hours a year over two semesters. The new hire will be expected to mainly teach courses in First-Year Composition.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in English, Rhetoric/Composition, or related field
- At least two years of experience in teaching first-year composition
