About The Position
The Biology Department at Carthage College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology position in Biology with a focus on Cell Biology. The successful candidate will join an expanding Biology Department to teach courses in Introductory Biology, Advanced Cell Biology, and other upper-level biology courses based upon their area of expertise. Applicants are required to have a PhD in Biology with a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and the ability to establish a productive research program with undergraduates.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Biology or closely related discipline
- Commitment to innovative development of curriculum or pedagogical practices
- Demonstrated record of successful undergraduate biology instruction
- Demonstrated potential to establish a productive research program with undergraduates
- Enthusiasm for educating students from widely varying backgrounds
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Introductory Biology
