About The Position

This position is for a faculty member in Instructional Leadership, with the potential for a Department Chair role. The successful candidate will teach graduate-level courses, supervise leadership experiences, develop university-school relationships, and collaborate with diverse populations. Scholarly productivity or a strong research agenda is required. For the Department Chair position, candidates should have demonstrated academic administrative and leadership experience, strengths in undergraduate and graduate teaching (including online), excellence in scholarship and research, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Specific requirements for the Chair role include higher education administration/leadership experience, familiarity with accreditation processes, and grant writing experience.

Requirements

• Hold an earned doctorate in Instructional Leadership or the equivalent
• A minimum of three years of preK-12 experiences as an assistant principal, principal, or district level administrator
• Evidence of scholarly productivity or a well-developed research agenda
• Demonstrated experience in administration and/or leadership in higher education (for Chair position)
• Experience or familiarity with accreditation processes (for Chair position)
• Grant writing experience (for Chair position)

Nice To Haves

• Experience in public schools is preferred
