About The Position

The University of Maryland Department of Anesthesiology is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiologists to join the Division of Trauma Anesthesiology. Faculty members will be engaged in the assessment and resuscitation of trauma patients, including critical care and acute pain management, within the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Responsibilities include clinical care and teaching of various medical professionals. Non-clinical time is available for academic, scholarly, and administrative activities.

Requirements

• ABA certified (or eligible).
• MD Degree

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship training in Trauma, Critical Care, or Cardiac Anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Clinical care of trauma patients in the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
• Assessment and resuscitation of trauma patients.
• Critical care and acute pain management.
• Teaching of fellows, residents, medical students, student nurse anesthetists, and paramedics.
• Engaging in academic, scholarly, and administrative activities during non-clinical time.
