Cedarville University seeks an energetic, relational, and mission-driven faculty member to lead its developing online Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. The program is housed within the University’s existing CSWE-accredited BSW program. Courses are primarily asynchronous, except for field education components. The Coordinator will provide academic and program leadership and help cultivate an online culture characterized by biblical integration, Christian discipleship, academic excellence, student belonging, and preparation for competent generalist social work practice. The role requires actively engaging prospective and current online students and making the Cedarville educational and discipleship experience meaningful regardless of students’ geographic location. This full-time faculty position includes teaching four courses per semester, normally two courses in each eight-week session. The successful candidate will advise online BSW students, build relationships that foster academic success and professional formation, and lead online-program accreditation and assessment responsibilities in collaboration with program leadership. The Coordinator will also contribute to recruitment, enrollment, retention, program improvement, and collaboration among faculty and University partners. The position may be remote in approved U.S. states or based in Cedarville, Ohio, and is pending budget approval. Candidates must hold an MSW from a CSWE-accredited social work program and have at least two years of post-MSW professional social work practice experience. They must be qualified to teach generalist social work practice and courses across the BSW curriculum; demonstrate leadership, initiative, organizational ability, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to build meaningful online student relationships; and be committed to excellent social work education, student success, biblical integration, and Christian discipleship. Candidates must be committed followers of Jesus Christ who affirm and support Cedarville University’s Doctrinal Statement, General Work Place Standards, and Community Covenant; embrace the authority and sufficiency of Scripture; and demonstrate meaningful biblical integration in teaching, advising, leadership, and professional practice. Membership in a local church whose doctrine and practice are consistent with the University’s doctrinal commitments is required. Preferred qualifications include an earned PhD, DSW, or other appropriate terminal degree; experience in online education or academic/program leadership; and CSWE experience in accreditation, assessment, advising, recruitment, or program development. Employment is subject to credential verification, other information required by law and University policies, and successful completion of a background check. H-1B sponsorship may be available depending on legal and business considerations. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
