About The Position

The Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pulmonary and critical care. Selected candidates will attend on the inpatients medical critical care service as well as provide services in the outpatient ALD clinical. Additionally, nocturnal service coverage may be required.

Requirements

• M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
• Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care.
• 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.

Responsibilities

• Attend on the inpatients medical critical care service.
• Provide services in the outpatient ALD clinical.
• Nocturnal service coverage may be required.
• Teaching pulmonary and critical care fellows, house staff and medical students.
• Working with advanced practice providers and/or trainees.
• Proficiency in consultation and diagnosis for ongoing treatment of critically ill patients in the ICU unit.
• Rounding on in-patient services for advanced lung disease.
• Participating in a busy out-patient clinical practice at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and the Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center.
