About The Position

Position Summary As our Assistant Production Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly, supporting the Manufacturing Manager, and helping drive daily production success across the department. What You Will Be Doing The Assistant Production Manager will work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to plan, organize, and execute daily production workflows that keep operations running efficiently. In this role, you will help ensure all manufacturing commitments are met on schedule, identify and report any operational or maintenance issues that could delay production, and support the hiring, training, supervision, and motivation of employees while helping manage schedules to meet output goals. You will also serve as the secondary decision-maker for the department whenever the Manufacturing Manager is unavailable, collaborate with support teams to ensure timely and consistent assistance, and maintain strict compliance with SOPs, good manufacturing practices, and safety regulations to uphold a reliable and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Background in operational excellence, process improvement, or a similar field.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Talent for solving complex problems.
  • Ability to obtain or currently possess a DOE “Q” Clearance.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Q security clearance.
  • Must be tested for the absence of any illegal drug prior to an offer of employment being made.
  • Will become part of a random drug testing program.
  • May also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Must undergo a background investigation by the Federal government.
  • Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or project management are highly valued.

Benefits

  • Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $113,320-$188,866.
