About The Position

The Assistant Produce Manager supports the produce/floral department at Kj's Market, helping provide friendly guest service, meet sales and profit targets, maintain inventory and product quality, and follow merchandising, operational, sanitation, and safety standards. The role also provides guidance, training, and feedback to department hosts and helps maintain staffing and scheduling standards. The position may involve product preparation, receiving, conditioning, stocking, and guest service as needed.

Requirements

Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and direction.
Knowledge of produce operations.
Ability to supervise hosts, including training and development.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from produce/floral department hosts.
Achieve budgeted sales and profits for the produce/floral department.
Maintain desired levels of inventory and supplies.
Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
Ensure products for sale meet Floco Foods quality standards.
Maintain department sanitation and safety according to FLOCO Foods standards.
Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to help produce department hosts meet performance standards.
Perform product preparation, receiving, conditioning, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
Maintain department staffing and scheduling standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
