Assistant Principal
About The Position
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will have high levels of competency in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to build and maintain a sustainable system, experience in Response to Intervention (RtI) by building systems on data and demonstrating academic improvement, and the ability to lead, run, and build Professional Learning Community (PLC) structures and processes. A Principal certification is necessary to obtain this position. This position is paid off the certified salary schedule, contracted for 185 days, and does not include an administrative increment. It also includes up to 20 additional days paid for by SBDM.
Requirements
- Principal certification is necessary.
- Kentucky certification in Educational Leadership or Administration as appropriate for level/area of school vacancy.
- Master’s Degree.
- Certification in State & District Certified Staff Evaluation System.

Responsibilities
- Serves as the instructional leader for the school.
- Implements Board policies and administrative procedures.
- Successfully manages the day-to-day operations of the school.
- Successfully manages all school budgets.
- Supervises and evaluates all building certified staff and all building classified staff.
