About The Position

Energetic and Supportive Assistant Principal Position: We’re looking for an Assistant Principal who brings enthusiasm, problem-solving skills, and a team-first mindset to support students, staff, and families every step of the way. This role involves advocating for every student, helping to create a welcoming and engaging school environment, working alongside the principal and staff to ensure smooth operations, and finding fair and effective solutions to various challenges. The Assistant Principal will also focus on building strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and supporting teachers with coaching, professional development, and innovative instructional strategies. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure and maintains a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Education
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in teaching
  • Valid South Carolina Teaching License in one of the following areas: Secondary Principal (Tier 1 or 2) or Secondary Supervisor

  • Support the Principal’s Vision: Help lead and implement school initiatives that promote academic excellence and student well-being.
  • Foster Positive Student Behavior: Oversee student discipline with a focus on fairness, growth, and restorative practices.
  • Encourage Instructional Excellence: Work with teachers to enhance curriculum, teaching strategies, and student engagement.
  • Build Relationships: Strengthen connections with students, families, and staff to create a strong school community.
  • Oversee School Operations: Assist in managing daily logistics, schedules, safety protocols, and event planning.
  • Support Teacher Development: Provide coaching, feedback, and professional learning opportunities to help teachers grow.
  • Lead with Energy and Enthusiasm: Be a visible, approachable, and inspiring presence throughout the school.
  • Supervise employees in the High School when the Principal as directed by the school principal.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
