About The Position
Assistant Principal for Discipline and Safety Walsh Jesuit High School is seeking an Assistant Principal for Discipline and Safety beginning in the 2026-27 academic year. This position will play a key leadership role in promoting a positive, values-driven student culture at Walsh Jesuit High School. Grounded in the school’s Jesuit mission and the Grad-at-Grad qualities, this role focuses on preventative discipline, restorative justice, and a safe, structured learning environment. The position collaborates across departments—including academics, athletics, counseling, and campus ministry—to support student development in character, leadership, and responsibility. The Assistant Principal for Discipline and Safety is a member of the Academic Administration Team and works approximately 10 months per year.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in educational administration, guidance, or counseling.
- At least five years of experience in teaching, student services, or administration.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trust with adolescents and adults.
- Ability to act decisively and thoughtfully in student-related situations.
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with faculty, parents, and students.
- Commitment to Jesuit values and faith-based student formation.
- Embrace and display Catholic/Christian values and spiritual life.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of restorative justice and student-centered discipline practices (preferred).
