About The Position

Administrator position, 220 day contract annually. The Elementary Assistant Principal works in partnership with the building principal, each family, and the school community to educate and support the growth of lifelong learners. They provide leadership, support, and modeling to ensure each student possesses the skills, knowledge, creativity, sense of self-worth, and values necessary to thrive in and contribute to a diverse and changing world. They support the building principal in co-creating sustainable systems and structures, instructional leadership, and visioning aligned with the district’s strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Department of Education certification in elementary administration, including evaluator approval required.
  • A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience, three of which must have been as a teacher at the PK-6 level.
  • Leadership role(s) in elementary education.
  • Masters degree in elementary administration required.
  • Iowa Teaching license with administrator endorsement
